In February 2019 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wojciech Forysinski took part in the nineteenth edition of the annual conference 'Europe of the XXI Century' organized by the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism and the Centre of European Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. The Conference was hosted by Collegium Polonicum in Slubice on the Polish-German border, an academic establishment managed jointly by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and Viadrina European University in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. The conference participants included scholars representing academic and research centers from Poland and abroad – e.g. from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Kazkhstan and North Cyprus - journalists, politicians and other experts interested in European integration. The conference agenda included discussion panels in Polish, English and Russian. Dr. Forysinski presented his paper on 'East Mediterranean Contentious Hydrocarbons and the Search for a Settlement in Cyprus'  to the panel on Contemporary Challenges in EU's Closest Neighbourhood (session organized by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence EU EX/ACT) and chaired a panel on The Biggest Challenges in Contemporary Europe and Beyond.

The Conference offered yet another opportunity to plan for closer cooperation between the EMU Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of the Adam Mickiewicz University. Dr. Forysinski and Prof. Andrzej Stelmach, the Dean of that Faculty agreed to accelerate works on the cooperation agreement between the two Faculties and on Prof. Stelmach's visit to EMU and EMU's visit to Poznan.
